Our Kennel
Breeding Excellence Since 2017
Expat Malinois is a breeding kennel of working Belgian Shepherds located in Southern Ontario, Canada. We specialize in breeding high-quality Malinois with a focus on working abilities and temperament. Our kennel is dedicated to producing dogs for various roles, including law enforcement, search and rescue, and competitive sports.

Welcome to Expat Kennel! Our name reflects our international roots. "Expat" also because our dog breed, the Belgian Shepherd Malinois, originates from Europe, and the sports that have been used to help select the bloodlines of our dogs - IGP (IPO), French and Belgian Ring - were developed there as well.
Our story is rooted in a passion for the Belgian Shepherd breed. As a family-owned kennel, we are committed to preserving the exceptional traits of the Malinois while promoting responsible breeding practices. Our journey began in 2017, driven by a desire to contribute to the working dog community and provide individuals and organizations with outstanding canine partners.
Michaela started the sport in the Czech Republic with German Shepherds in the late 80s while being a breed warden for Newfoundland dogs for the Czech Kennel Club.
In Canada, she trained her foundation female Coca-Cola Betkin dvor, which she took to IPO 3 at 3.5 years old, placing 5th at the Canadian GSSCC Nationals (high obedience) and representing Canada at the FCI IPO World Championship in 2016.
She currently trains Expat A'Pastis (IGP 3, IFH-V, IFH 1), Expat Birka (IGP 3, IFH-V), son and daughter of Coca-cola and Tanning Zazzy Pimu (BH), who is the niece to Coca-cola.
